Is Scalp Micro pigmentation a viable option for hair loss?

Patients with hair-loss due to genetic predisposition are generally treated with a hair transplantation. Hair transplantation is performed by using the patient's own living hair from the donor zone: the back of the head. The transplanted hair is removed from the donor area and moved to the recipient area But what if there isn't enough hair in the donor area? Then there is still Scalp Micro-pigmentation (SMP). SMP is a specialized treatment that simulates the natural look of cropped hair and camouflages thinning areas. SMP works for both bald patches and for scars, burns, and birthmarks. In an SMP procedure, pigment blends are deposited into the dermal layer of the skin on the scalp, it works very similarly to a tattoo. SMP is the last option to be considered when surgery isn't a viable option
